Wineries don’t come much more awarded and highly recommended than this producer of fine cool climate wines. Frogmore Creek has two vineyards in the Coal River Valley – the 10-hectare home base in Cambridge and a further 65 hectares in Campania, producing pinot noir, chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, riesling, merlot, cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc and petit verdot. The wines can be tasted at the cellar door where one of the their experienced team will take you through the range.
In 2015 the restaurant won the AHA’s Restaurant of the Year for Regional Australia and the THA’s Tasmanian Restaurant of the Year.
The carefully orchestrated menu by head chef Ruben Koopman is divided into ‘from the sea’, ‘from the land and ‘from the garden’, although there are also delicious snacks and sweets to choose from.
