There is so much to see and do at this venue, which combines a cheesery, farm and distillery. It’s located near Birch’s Bay with breathtaking ocean views and boasts sheep milking demonstrations every day from October to March, sheep cheese tasting, cellar door wine tasting, an area to view and meet the sheep and lambs, light meals and the ability to view the cheese making and ageing facilities. But perhaps the most intriguing element is Hartshorn – the micro distillery that, among other products, offers vodka and gin created from Grandvewe’s own sheep whey! And it’s the first in the world to do so.
