Hallam’s Waterfront Seafood Restaurant is Tasmania’s multi award-winning dining destination that sources line-caught and sustainable seafood from the pristine waters surrounding the island.
Since opening its doors in January 1996, Hallam’s has made a name for itself in Tasmania’s – and Australia’s – esteemed culinary scene. Originally given life by Stewart and Sally Hallam, the restaurant is now run by their son Salisbury Hallam, who took over in 2011 and hasn’t looked back since.
Hallam infused new life and vibrancy into the restaurant, combining a modern take on seafood with a dynamic Asian influence that’s evident in both the menu and the ambience. It’s refined, casual dining at its best.
The Hallam’s crew offers customers a range of expertly curated, innovative and accessible seafood dishes. From classic favourites with a fresh twist to deft and adventurous combinations, the Hallam’s menu does not disappoint. It caters to a wide range of dietary requirements and the chefs source only the highest quality Tasmanian seafood – such as blue-eye trevalla, Spring Bay mussels, flathead, oysters, scallops and crayfish (to name a few!).
Hallam’s is open 11.30am until late, and offers lunch, dinner, dessert and wine menus. The wine list changes seasonally to offer the best vintages available, and the staff will happily provide a wine recommendation for your meal.
This eatery presents its array of local seafood options to be complemented by breathtaking views of the iconic Cataract Gorge and the Tamar River. Hallam’s will provide a unique culinary experience that you won’t easily forget.
