The Great Eastern Wine Weekend is held annually and showcases the region’s finest food and signature drops.
The two-day event offers an exciting occasion to explore Tasmania’s east coast wine region through a variety of special events and cellar door discounts. Beginning with a sunset ‘Meet the Makers’ event, the weekend follows with lazy brunches hopping between vineyards, cruising (and sipping!) en route to Wineglass Bay, oyster tasting, cooking masterclasses and even yoga among the vines.

Bloomin’ Tulips Festival

Richard Gutteridge Gardens provides the picturesque backdrop for a colourful and exciting day that culminates with a fireworks display just after dark.
Garden beds around the town are bursting with colourful tulips while nearby Table Cape Tulip Farm welcomes visitors. Fields of vibrant tulips entice one to walk along the long rows and savour the experience.
Live entertainment all day and roving performers (like the giant animal and flower stilt walkers) provide delights for the whole family. Over 30 food and beverage stalls cater for all tastes, while a similar number of community and craft groups provide an insight into activities happening in Waratah-Wynyard all year round.

The Taste of Tasmania

Tasmania’s most popular and enduring summer event, The Taste of Tasmania, returns to Hobart’s waterfront. Seafood, cheeses, berries, cool-climate wines, boutique beers and ciders and much more, representing regions from right around the state, are on offer at close to 70 stalls located both inside the Princes Wharf No 1 shed, and outside.
The Taste of Tasmania features a fabulous entertainment program, with more than 100 buskers, local musicians and DJs performing throughout the event.

Tasmanian Christmas Carnivals
This annual event consists of seven separate carnivals, kicking off in Rosebery on the west coast and winding up in St Helens on the east coast. The other locations are Hobart, Latrobe, Launceston, Devonport and Burnie. The carnivals comprise a range of athletic and cycling events, with the Burnie Gift a particularly popular drawcard.

Effervescence Tasmania Sparkling Wine Festival is a celebration of the world-class wines that the proud island state produces. Tasmania’s unique climate means that its fruit and varietals make for some of the best sparkling wines to be found outside of Champagne itself.
At Effervescence the feature producers are by invitation only, ensuring that only the highest quality wine is offered to guests. As well as tasting top quality sparklings, visitors can also enjoy master classes, fine dining, tastings and tours.

Fresh Hop Beer Festival
Fresh Hop Beer Festival celebrates the annual Tasmanian hop harvest, where the brewing community comes together to showcase the freshest brews of the year. In addition to tasting the harvest ales, the festival hosts master classes, hop education, Q&As, opportunities to meet the brewers, live music and food stalls by local producers.
