The Nut was formed over 13 million years ago and is all that remains of an ancient volcanic plug. This fascinating geological formation stands towers above the coastal village of Stanley, providing stunning 360-degree views of the township, the Bass Strait and the Rocky Cape National Park.
The Nut Chairlift travels 95 metres above sea level and, after a leisurely five-minute ride to the top, you can enjoy the incredible views, take advantage of the superb photographic opportunities and explore the two kilometre walking track around the plateau.
What better way to take in the breathtaking views of this historical and picturesque region!
